With rapid advances in algorithms and data processing, AI has impacted various sectors, such as healthcare, finance, and education. However, its increasing adoption raises ethical and legal questions, such as responsibility for automated decisions, data protection, and impacts on the labor market. The discussion about AI is fundamental to ensuring that its development and use are beneficial and equitable for society.
We have pioneering and nationally recognized professionals in the field to offer specialized services, including:
• Artificial Intelligence Impact Assessment: impact assessment of AI systems employed by the Organization and of projects involving the development of software by internal or external teams. Includes the recommendation of technical organizational measures for mapping and mitigating identified risks, based on international best practice standards.
• Contracts & AI: advice on the preparation and negotiation of contracts that aim to commercialize and provide services for the development or acquisition of AI systems.
• Transparency Measures: organizational and technical measures to provide sufficient information to users and those who are impacted by AI about (i) the organization's use of the technology; (ii) the operation of the Artificial Intelligence system; and (iii) AI governance measures adopted by companies.
• AI System Interface Assessment: aims to identify interface qualities in relation to transparency and personal data protection, to ensure adherence to international standards, providing clarity to the user, in each interaction, regarding the role of AI, its purpose, personal data used, explanation of the model and results..
• AI Governance Policy: consists of a document aligned with the Organization's objectives, its norms and values, which aims to delimit (i) the management structure for the development, use, and monitoring of the functioning of AI systems; (ii) good practices and procedures to be adopted by the actors involved in the stages of the AI lifecycle, mitigating mapped risks; and (iii) cybersecurity measures specific to employed AI systems.
• Sectoral Self-Regulation: involves structuring a sectoral self-regulation model through the Reference Association, recommendations for increasing safety, reliability, and ethical suitability, development of a Code of Conduct, and structuring of a monitoring body.
• Registration and Certification of AI Systems: advice for registration and obtaining a license to use before regulatory or control authorities of the sector or for obtaining certifications before private entities.
• Strategic Litigation: representation of the organization in judicial or administrative litigation, involving the use of Artificial Intelligence systems, whether from the perspective of the personal data subject, the consumer, the employee/worker, or even in commercial relations between companies.
• AI Due Diligence in Investments (M&A): consists of carrying out "preliminary due diligence" in order to take precautionary measures in the face of a potential investment in companies that adopt AI systems.
• Training and Capacity Building: conducting training sessions and workshops addressing the main aspects involved in the use of AI technologies. These are fundamental for public and private organizations, in any field or sector, to adapt their practices to the AI governance policy and understand the risks and benefits involved.
