The Intellectual Property team offers a full range of legal services related to the acquisition, enforcement, and commercialization of intellectual property and technology assets. Our services include consulting on contracts involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, outsourcing, privacy, and data security.
Services
- Portfolio management in Brazil and abroad, covering trademark rights, patents,industrial designs, computer programs, domain names, technology transfers, and copyrights;
- Development of strategic plans for the prevention and combat of intellectual property rights violations, acting in administrative bodies and through extrajudicial and judicial measures;
- Advice on the analysis and preparation of contracts related to intellectual property, including acting for recordal and registration with the INPI (Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office) for licenses for use, licenses for exploitation, assignment of rights, transfer of technology ("know-how"), provision of technical and scientific assistance services involving technology transfer, and franchise business model;
- Acting before the INPI and other administrative bodies for the protection of trademark rights, patents, industrial designs, computer programs, domain addresses, technology transfers, and copyrights;
- Advice on actions for the free distribution of prizes, including acting in cases that require prior authorization for commercial promotions with the competent body.
